I asked; the Lord answered

In the dark early hours of 19 March, there started a strange sequence of events. I had been ill for days but despite that, I woke up nightly for unawares. I was frustrated because I was not getting the sleep I needed. It opened the window to unconstructive thoughts. For reasons unknown, I chose this time to question the Lord as to why most Saints were single. Of course, single people have more time to focus on religious vocations, meditation and helping others because they don’t have the responsibilities that come with a spouse and family. Did that somehow put them on a special pedestal? OK, I admit, when I type this now, it sounds ridiculous BUT at 3 AM and sick, it sounded like a reasonable question. Well, if you ask the Lord a question; you will get an answer. I spent yet another day on the couch sick, and thinking back, I recall watching a video on St. Joseph sometime that day. I didn’t think much about it. Another day passed, and I felt just well enough to work in my office for the first time that week. While in for lunch, I decided to watch my first video of the day, a short YouTube video to occupy me while eating. I clicked the first video that popped up, and the man says:
One of the greatest male Saints in the history of the church…was a husband and Layman and a simple worker, St. Joseph…
I stood up and took a few steps back from the table, the tears flowed. The Lord was answering my question from the night before; and not only that, He was answering it in person. His words were in my head, then his face with a large smile. I acknowledged that it may have been a silly question, and although I couldn’t stop crying because he was so close, I was laughing, too.
I decided to Google St. Joseph after lunch. A surprise to me: March 19, the day it all started, was the Feast of St. Joseph, also known as St. Joseph’s Day—the day his life and sainthood is celebrated as the earthly father figure of Christ, and the spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It just goes to show, you don’t need to be filled with Christian knowledge to have a relationship with the Lord; you just need to Love Him, accept Him, Trust Him.
St. Joseph is the patron saint of fathers, workers, expecting mothers and unborn children. But there are many stories of his supernatural presence in relation to miracles that have occurred, such as the finding of a lost child, helping a homeless person find work, protecting a person who was attacked and more
I encourage you to ask the Lord your questions, and ‘to expect’ answers. The Lord wants us to trust in him so completely and with so much confidence, that we ‘expect’ answers. Because He will answer. Secondly, use the angels and saints. Ask them for help with things. They are waiting for us to ask for help. We all worship God the Father, yes, but we can ask for help from all those that are with God as well.
